How to wear a silk scarf for work

Updated: Jun 25, 2022

Whether your country is still in lockdown, you are starting to see a slight return to normal in the coming months, or things are fully open again, it's tricky when you are on zoom or teams calls to keep that professional look, especially if you have no access to a hairdresser! There are however a few simple things we can do to help us and to boost our self-esteem. When we first went into lockdown in the UK, a friend of mine said that routine was important, including the routine of how we present ourselves, and I feel she was right back then (just under a year ago), and is still right now.

Accessories around the face are a simple way of making us look and feel good. They don't need to cost a fortune, but what they can do is enhance our skin, eye, and hair colour, and make us feel smarter and fresher. This could be wearing a nice necklace, lipstick, or a scarf in our best colour. Super simple ideas, quick and easy to do, to help enhance our professionalism. A scarf and blazer combination is great too. Wear your scarf as a pussycat bow or kerchief style and you can have the best colour right next to your face, and on-screen.

With this in mind, and for those who might not be working but still want to look their best too, I'm developing a series of square silk scarves, as well as a few larger options, so that if you don't want lots of fabric volume around your face on a call, you can still have colour and unique style. This new collection is now in production. I can't wait to share it.

If you want to be the first to see the collection, please do subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of this page. I'll be keeping it under wraps until then.
