We'be been out and about early this morning and after 12 hours of heavy rains, the brook is overflowing and looking stunningly beautiful, although I'm mindful of the severe weather that has been affecting the rest of the country and how fortunate we are. Going walking always gives me a moment to simply use my senses and be in the moment. Cheesy though that sounds, I find it truly restorative. Breathing in the country air and listening to the birds is such a simple thing that doesn't cost much money if any, and gives me peace and energy. A lovely way to reflect on Remembrance Sunday.
