Sweet peas

I've grown these beauties from seed, two varieties, and each week gather a new bunch from our untidy veggie patch to sit on the kitchen window sill. Today, as its too hot to garden, I've been wandering around photographing some new delights, and brought these outside to find a nice shady backdrop. I have also added to my never ending collection of new images for scarf potential. Today's contenders were a day lily, yellow cosmos, love-in-the-mist, agrostemma, gooseneck loostrife (great name!), dahlias and agapanthus. Some may make the cut, and the rest I'll keep as a visual diary of this strange year. Such small delights, close to home, have more value than perhaps they ever did before.
