There’s a particular kind of English garden beauty that arrives with spring and lingers into early summer — a season of quiet transformation. Buds unfurl, colours soften then intensify, and the garden becomes a place of layered textures and gentle abundance. It’s this natural rhythm that lies at the heart of my latest collection of silk scarves.
Coming soon exclusively at CharlotteBroady.com, the four new designs are inspired by real plants and moments from my Oxfordshire cottage garden — a cherished garden allowed to breathe and evolve, full of wild edges and well-loved perennials. Each scarf captures a different glimpse of this seasonal tapestry, from the cool blues of spring mornings to the pinks and greens of high summer.
1. Lobelia
A soft haze of blue dances across this scarf, punctuated by hints of yellow and green — echoing the delicate balance of lobelia flowers nestled among early summer foliage. Light, airy and quietly uplifting, it feels like the first warm day when the garden suddenly comes alive.

2. Amelanchier
Few sights are as fleeting or as lovely as amelanchier in blossom. This design captures the pure white of its star-like flowers set against a clear spring sky. With crisp whites and soft blues, the scarf evokes the stillness of a bright April morning, full of promise and light.

3. Erigeron
Inspired by the dainty, daisy-like erigeron that tumbles over our stone steps and garden paths, this scarf layers fresh pink and white petals with muted, dusty greens. It’s a tribute to the quiet corners of the garden — places of texture, softness and gentle charm.

4. Pelargonium
Channelling the joyful energy of pelargoniums, this design brings together pinks, whites and leafy greens in a loose, painterly composition. There’s a feeling of high summer here — borders spilling over, bees humming, and petals catching the light.

Each scarf is printed on pure silk, finished by hand, and designed to be worn, loved, and kept. These pieces aren’t just accessories — they’re small celebrations of the seasons, drawn from life and rooted in place.
Whether you’re looking for something thoughtful to gift or simply wish to carry a touch of the garden with you, these new designs offer an elegant way to mark the turning of the year.
