Summer inspiration

I was fortunate this weekend to visit a beautiful place in the Cotswolds.

Kiftsgate Court Gardens is a wonderful house and gardens overlooking a beautiful valley. With the most exquisite planting I saw there, I've been inspired to do more with my own cottage garden. At Kiftsgate, lilies, agapanthus, dahlias, penstemons, grasses, hydrangeas, were in bloom, combined into drifts of colour and interspersed with grasses, foliage and textures to show each plant off at its very best. Combine these with stunning views and the gentle sound of water and it really was a paradise. My words here really don't do it justice.

Below is just one image that I took from a long border packed full of so many flowers, lime greens, oranges, yellows and blue tones made this a true delight.
